Re: unwanted furniture - Dan Goodman posted something on natter about some group that would probably accept the furniture (I'm guessing transporting the furniture might be a problem...)

If it were me, I'd move "Get air conditioner fixed" into this months to-do list, rather than next months.

All in all, sounds very ambitious.

Yeah, what he said about the A/C.

Let me know how/who/what you do to refinish the tub.

Rex is good at replacing glass. Fix windows may imply more than that. I can rehang double-hungs, but it takes a lotta bheer to get me there, and by then, you don't want me around glass.

I'd also vote for fixing the AC sooner rather than later. If it's a money issue and needs to wait 'til June, get it done as early in June as possible (heck, you may want to make an appointment now, I know they get busy this time of year).

Does replacing the living room carpet happen this month, too? If the floor is fine, it stays as is. Otherwise looking into putting down flooring or new carpeting or finding good area rugs might be this month, too.

Unless you go with a different paint color for the back bedroom, you might want to paint it at the same time as the living room or front bedroom (probably same time as living room if you want to use that same color of paint). If it ends up being a different color, then nevermind.

Sure you don't want curtains for the front bedroom right away? Assuming you're gonna start sleeping in there soon after it's painted and the new furniture moved in. (But if that doesn't happen 'til late May, then June is fine for curtains, obviously).

I'm planning on having the A/C work done in the first week of June.

Removing the carpet is a job for this month. Deciding what I'm going to do with what's underneath the carpet is a job for next month.

I guess I haven't decided yet about the color for the back bedroom. I know I won't want it to be the same color as the front bedroom. I'm not sure that I'm going to want it to be the same color as the living room.

New furniture isn't going to happen until late May. I'm figuring I can handle only having blinds in there for a couple of weeks.

Sounds a great deal like what I've been working on, ... maybe I was too ambitious?

Go Kevin!
