One reason I might not be happy if Montreal wins the 2009 WorldCon

From the Anticipation in 2009 F.A.Q. page:

By purchasing a supporting membership you: … Get a discount on your ticket to the Montréal WorldCon, if we win.

Bidding prices are static, but the earlier you buy your WorldCon ticket, the cheaper it will be.
