I notice that the previous biking entry didn't specify when the ride was. Just for clarification that ride was on Sunday, March 26.

After that ride I felt fairly confident and decided that when I was going to my friend Clay's house for gaming that I'd ride my bicycle.

This ride was on the evening/night of March 31st and April 1st.

The ride down was fairly uneventful. I've ridden this route a number of times before and there aren't really any suprises. I think I'm finally doing a little better on hills and didn't have to stop or walk the bike up any of them this time. The ride on the way back was also fairly uneventful, though because it was from 1 am to 2 am (bar close) I was a little more careful than usual. The ride both ways took a little longer than I had thought it would. I guess I'm not in very good riding shape yet.

Penn isn't too bad because it's mostly residential along that stretch. The only part I've never liked (and it's gotten worse in recent years) is where it crosses over 494. The changes they made when Best Buy put their headquarters down there might have made it better for cars but it made it a lot scarier for bicyclists. I've been thinking that I might alter my normal route and take 76th over to Xerxes just to avoid that section.
