"This area has to do with logic, abstractions, inductive and deductive reasoning, and numbers. While it is often assumed that those with this intelligence naturally excel in mathematics, chess, computer programming, and other logical or numerical activities, a more accurate definition places emphasis less on traditional mathematical ability and more reasoning capabilities, abstract pattern recognition, scientific thinking and investigation, and the ability to perform complex calculations.

Careers which suit those with this intelligence include scientists, mathematicians, engineers, doctors and economists." (Wikipedia)

That's one of my all-time favorite cartoons. J and I use it as a catch phrase.

That is, "Then a miracle occurs" as an explanation.

Your LJ, your choice, but I find this combination of print and background almost impossible to read.

Try adding ?style=mine to the end of the URL. For instance

<http://kaustin.livejournal.com/82042.html?style=mine> (http://kaustin.livejournal.com/82042.html?style=mine)

I've heard this complaint a number of times and don't really understand. This color scheme is how I normally read LJ and I don't have any difficulties reading it on any of the monitors I use in any of the lighting conditions I read it under. I do, however, find the ello and uizzy of "Hello Quizzy" almost impossible to read, but that isn't my text color choice. I often wonder if other people just have their contrast or brightness set to radically different values from what I'm used to, but for some of my monitors I'm just using the default values, so I don't know what is going on really.

I do have my monitor set dimmer than a lot of people do.

Thanks for the style tip!

Just about the only thing worse to my eyes is a blue-on-blue scheme, but that's because my color/hue discrimination on that end of the spectrum is really poor.

Plus there's the whole heartache on heartache (http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/b/bobbyvinton10361/blueonblue335940.html) thing.
