Whence Ditto?

kevingaustinReading this post to Twitter and this post to rassef has gotten me wondering. What happened to Ditto? Is it truly dead, or is it merely pining for the fjords? How would someone find out? I'd think that next year would be an ideal year to have a Ditto with Corflu in the UK.
